How to make a simple piñata

If you have a party to organize, want to make a piñata especially for it, and don't know where to start, don't worry. Here we have a step by step guide to make a simple piñata, which you can even make with the kids - and add to the fun!

Materials needed:

  • 1 large balloon
  • 150 ml white glue
  • 150 ml water
  • Scissors
  • Newspapers
  • Medium-sized brush
  • Crepe paper in the colors you prefer
  • Glue stick
  • Assorted sweets of your choice
  • String

Step by step:

  1. Fill the balloon until it is firm and tie it with string, leaving it suspended;
  2. Make a mixture of white glue and water in the same proportion;
  3. Cut the newspaper into thick strips, 5 to 6 cm long;
  4. Take the strip and dip it in the mixture of glue and water, without excess, and glue it to the balloon.
  5. Use the brush to assist in gluing;
  6. Wait for the glue to dry and repeat the process at least 2 to 3 times;
  7. With the balloon covered with newspaper and dry, decorate it with crepe paper as you like, using the glue stick.
  8. Let it dry again.
  9. After it is dry, pop the balloon from the inside. Drill a hole with the aid of a pointed object and remove the balloon from there.
  10. Time to add the sweets of your choice.
  11. Use string to hang the pinata, now in the place where it will be broken.
  12. Have fun!

Tip: This will depend on the object you are going to make, for example: a fish, a horse, etc. The ideal, therefore, is to make a pinata project before you start developing it.
