If you like small projects and tutorials to do at home, this perfumed sachet tip is easy, practical, and very quick to execute. The tutorial was created by personal organizer Rafaela Oliveira, from the blog and channel Organize Without Frescuras.

With just a few items, you can create sachets full of perfume to put inside closets and drawers, leaving a pleasant smell and preventing your clothes and belongings from smelling like they are in a closed place - something especially common in winter or when the weather is more humid. Although the sachet has no anti-mold action, it can make your closet smell much better.

All the necessary material can be easily found in markets, food stores, craft stores, packaging, fabrics and haberdashery stores, and you can determine the fullness, size and color of each sachet that will perfume your home. Furthermore, you can let your creativity run wild and use colored ribbons to make the sachets even more charming. Let's go step by step!

Material required

  • 500 mg of sago;
  • 9 ml of essence with the full of your choice;
  • 1 ml fixative;
  • 1 plastic bag - preferably with a Zip Lock closure;
  • Tissue bags with bows to close them - organza or tulle.

Step 1: add the essence

Place the 500 grams of sago in a bowl and mix in 9 ml of the essence you have selected. If desired, decrease or increase the amount proportionally.

Step 2: Fixative

The fixative liquid, which can be found in craft stores, is important to make the sachet smell long lasting. Add 1 ml to the mixture, stirring well to spread it over all the balls.

Step 3: Inside the plastic bag

After mixing the two liquids, place the sago balls inside the plastic wrap, close it, and leave it sealed for 24 hours.

Step 4: Contents in the baggies

To finish, place the balls inside each bag with the help of a spoon. If the contents become too oily, you can use a paper towel to dry the sago a little.

Step 5: Inside the closet

After finishing the sachets, they are ready to be placed inside the closet.
